A hexagonal bronze of Pointer and Setter in tree planted landscape pointing setting Partridge, hiding in wheat, retailed by James Muirhead and Son of Glasgow. The image inspired Pierre-Jules Mne, The Partridge Hunt / Chasse la perdrix. Stamped to the reverse JAS. MUIRHEAD & SONS GLASGOW. Muirhead were known to have a Paris agent to source and purchase the very best art coming to the market. In fact they some objects were marked Jas. Muirhead & Sons Paris. French, circa 1880.
