Most likely from a design by the famous German born animalist of jewellery Gustav Manz (1865-1946). Manz was in popular demand by the fashionable jewellery retailers Tiffany; Marcus; Cartier; A.A. Vantine; Shreve, Crump & Low; Gillot & Co; Ferdinand Hotz; Raymond Yard; Bailey, Banks& Biddle; Black, Starr & Frost-Gorham and J E Caldwell.

A 14 carat gold set enamel head study of a Boston Terrier set with old cut diamond eyes. The reverse of the stick pin is marked “14K”. Such work was made in Newark New Jersey, by the likes of Henry Blank & Co., A.J. Hedges, Krementz & Co, Rilker Brothers etc.... American circa 1915.

An 18 carat gold brooch of two seated Cairn Terriers retailed by "Garrard The Crown Jewellers". One dog wears a platinum collar, both have platinum details to eyes and noses. Assayed London 1968, 18 carat and signed "G & Co", Garrard & Co Ltd. This brooch comes with it original box "Garrard The Crown Jewellers" bearing the royal warrant "By Appointment to H M The Queen Goldsmiths & Crown Jewellers Garrard & Co Ltd". 22.2gms

25 ) A 14 carat gold reverse intaglio crystal bracelet of Chow Chows retailed by J E Caldwell.
A 14 carat gold reverse intaglio crystal Chow Chow bracelet retailed by J E Caldwell. The gold bracelet is set with three English made crystals of the Chow Chows 'Chee-Moo', 'Kee-Chee' and 'Dai Silogo'. Their names inscribed to the reverse. 'Chee-Moo' was the famous Chow Chow 'Hildewell Chee-Moo' breed by the famous Mrs. V. A. M. Mannooch, circa 1920. To the reverse incised 'J.E.C. & Co. 14K' Most likely a later setting to the crystal, and possibly once from a set of double sided crystal cufflinks. English / American circa 1920 / 1940. Reverse intaglio crystals are commonly and erroneously often called Essex Crystals.
