"Two Bull Terriers" was exhibited at the New Gallery when the artist was living at "11 Melina Place" St. John's Wood, London. And in 1900 at "The Fine Art Society's", New Bond Street, London "Exhibition of Miniatures of Dogs by Mrs. Gertrude Massey".

“Follette†the artist’s Bull Terrier by Louis Eugène Ginain (French, 1818-1886) “Folletteâ€, an oil on canvas of the artist’s much loved Bull Terrier standing in a plain landscape by Louis Eugène Ginain (French , 1818-1886). This pampered Terrier dog wears a red leather collar with gold details. Titled, in gold, top left “Follette†and signed bottom left in red “Eug Ginainâ€. The canvas stretched on a wood frame is stamped "TOILES à PEINDRE & COULEURS FINES MOIRINAT PARIS 184 Faubourg Saint Honoré", famed Parisian art supplier. Ginain painted several images of his beloved Follette, one, a life size image, in 1879 that was to be his farewell to the Paris Salon. This smaller version was painted for M Truhard, see page 65, “Eugène Ginain 1818-1886†by Gustave Vattier, published in 1887. French, circa 1880
