A King Charles Cavalier inkwell by the famous Parisian 19th sculpture, Jacob Petit (French, 1796-1868). Petit worked at the porcelain factory at Sèvres as a painter. With his brother Mardochée he bought a porcelain factory in Fontainebleau in 1830. French, circa 1880.

27 ) A mid 19th century silver tankard / christening mug depicting the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel 'Dash' inspired from Sir Edwin Landseer painting
A mid 19th century silver tankard / christening mug depicting the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel 'Dash' inspired from Sir Edwin Landseer 1838 painting titled "Hector, Nero and Dash with the parrot, Lory", commissioned by Queen Victoria which today can be seen in the Royal Collection. It is assayed 1862, and bears the mark of James Charles Edington, a silversmith working from Berwick Street, in Soho, London. English, 1862. James Charles Edington is recorded in 1849 as making a small mug in similar high relief of a portrait of Albert Edward Prince of Wales after another royal painter Xavier Winterhalter. Then there is an earlier portrait mug recorded given to Prince Albert in 1846.

A rare mid 19th century silver plated taperstick / candlestick of a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel seated on a comfy tassel cushion, holding the taperstick by Elkington & Co, after John Bell (English, 1811-1895). Lightly gilded decoration to the sconce and panels to the ornate base. Stamped “John Bell Elkington”. Marked beneath the base "PUBḎ BY ELKINGTON & CO” with model number “862”. John Bell trained and exhibited at the Royal Academy and received several commissions from Queen Victoria. This King Charles Cavalier is no doubt modelled on the Queens favourite and famed Spaniel ‘Dash’.

An oil on panel of a Blenheim King Charles Spaniel recumbent upon a silk covered table by Henry Hugh Armstead RA (London 18 June 1828 - 4 December 1905 London). Signed "Hugh Armstead" and dated "1866". The oil is clearly partly inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer RA, (1802-1873) earlier, 1845 Royal Academy exhibit of the King Charles Spaniels (also known as the "The Cavalier's Hat" / "The Cavalier's Pets"). The reverse bears a Richard Green 44, Dover Street, London, W1X 4JQ label "Henry Hugh ARMSTEAD - A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Signed and dated "1866 " Panel: 12 x 14 in " AK305 (Stock Number).

The dogs include Princess Too Wit, Maggie, Ashton Defender, Ashton Wild Boar, Darnall Danington, Sweet Face, Lady Too Wit, Lord Koggie, Little Rollo, Lord Too Wit, Clevedon Clyde, Princess Too Wit, Ashton Aristocrat, Lord Too Woo, Ashton Sweet Briar, Ashton Crystal and Marlborough. They were the kennels entrants for the 1904 Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. American, 1904.

A pair of King Charles Cavalier Spaniels recumbent on a table besides a plumed hat. Signed and dated to the reverse L S Lyon 1880 The little dogs lie side by side on a table. The Blenheim has his paws over the edge, resting his nose comfortably upon them. The King Charles nestles upon the brim of a high-crowned hat ornamented with a long ostrich plume drooping over the brim. Such a hat was worn among the Cavaliers or king's party in the reign of Charles I.; hence the title of the Cavalier's Pets. English, circa 1880 The oil is clearly inspired by Sir Edwin Landseer RA, (1802-1873) earlier, 1845 Royal Academy exhibit of the King Charles Spaniels (also known as "The Cavalier's Hat" / "The Cavalier's Pets").
