Dry point etching on paper of two seated Scottish Terriers, by Morgan Dennis (American, 1892 - 1960). Signed in the margin in pencil "Morgan Dennis" and titled on the mount "When Do we Eat ?". The image was also used in a Texaco Motor Oil advertisement with the caption "Listen! To the improvement in your engine". The "Texaco Company bought the copyright and distributed complimentary copies of "Listen" through "The Texaco Exhibit, Central Pier, 1400 Broadwalk, Atlantic City". Sculptures titled "Listen" were also produced.

PROVENANCE: from Cleveland Cohen Estate - This piece was purchased at auction - the items were consigned to the auction from the Cleveland Cohen Estate (Grover Cleveland's grand daughter) The proceeds of the sale of the items were to benefit The Barnstormers Theater in Tamworth, NH (it was Grover Cleveland's Son & his Son's Wife that founded the Barnstormers in 1931)
