Works recorded by him include racehorse portraits with jockeys, 'The Bath to London Royal Mail Coach', 'Tom a favourite pony, the property of Mr. J. Hawgood', 'Return from coursing' and general country scenes. Working in the mid nineteenth century he seems to always signed H.S. Cottrell, but never to have dated his work, which was not profilic. |
