A set of four hunting colour lithographs engraved by Thomas Sutherland (English, 1785-1838) after paintings by Dean Wolstenholme, the elder (1757–1837), published by Ackermann 1823, with titled labels to the reverse “???, Breaking Cover plate II, Running plate III, The Death plate IV” “Painted by D. Dean Wolstenholme Jnr, was an animal painter of note, who painted hunting scenes, landscapes with horses and horsemen rather than equestrian commissioned portraits. He left a wealth of scenes of the English (Home Counties) countryside.
