These were the artists own dogs painted upon her return from India when she wrote and illustrated a number of whimsical stories for children based on her own pets. "Pindi Poo" was published by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd in 1957.
The Times October 1988 wrote these stories show "her draughtmanship and her use of watercolour were clear and unpretentious, preserving into the post-war decades a style of illustration that was closely related to that of such Victorian artists as Cecil Aldin and Harry Rountree".
