A cross stitch Berlin needlepoint on beige ground inspired by the depiction of Dash, Queen Victoria's beloved King Charles Cavalier Spaniel from Sir Edwin Landseer's 1837-1838 famous painting "His majesty's favourite dogs and parrot", also known as "Hector, Nero and Dash with the parrot, Lory", which can today be can be seen in the Royal Collection.
