Scottish Terrier dry-point etching "Sea Urchins" by Marguerite Kirmse (English, 1885 -1954)

A dry-point etching, "Sea Urchins" of playmates a Scottish Terrier and Sealyham Terrier running through sand dunes by Marguerite Kirmse (English, 1885 -1954). Published April, 1926. American. In pencil, titled bottom left "Sea Urchins" and signed bottom right "Marguerite Kirmse". The image, in second state further appeared in "Dogs" by the artist, with an introduction by R. T Townsend published in 1930, by the Derrydale Press. Here Kirmse writes "If you have never taken your dog for a run on the beach, you have never known the pleasure they find".
