Published April, 1928. American. In pencil, titled bottom left "Spring Song" and signed bottom right "Marguerite Kirmse".
The image further appeared in "Dogs" by the artist, with an introduction by R. T Townsend published in 1930, by the Derrydale Press. Here Kirmse writes "Don't know why, but birds seem to sing better in the spring. They're very friendly with each other, but they never come down to play with me."
