A Victorian mid 19th century micromosaic King Charles Cavalier Spaniels brooch

A pair micromosaic in black vitreous paste brooch depicting King Charles Cavalier Spaniels seated in a basket. Italian circa 1870. The King Charles Cavalier Spaniel was a popular micromosaic subject following the warks by such artists as Antonio Aguatti (d1846) and Luigi Cavaliere Moglia(1813ca - 1878).
