An oil on canvas of a seated young lady with a Bichon resting on her lap by Edwin Longsden Long RA (English, 1829 – 1891). Monogram bottom left “EL” and dated “1873”. The reverse bears label “14 High Street Borough London SE”, that of picture dealer and framemakers F.S. Nichols & Co (1882-1885). English 1873.
