Pencil and watercolour sketch of “Benny” a fawn Pug standing in garden by Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe R.A. (English, 1901 – 1979). The prepatory drawing for Tunnicliffe watercolour of “Benny”. Signed bottom right “C F Tunnicliffe”. English, circa 1966. Provenance: Tunnicliffe travelled to Belgrave Place, SW1 around 1966 to sketch the pug Benny. He then executed the watercolour at his studio in Anglesea and sent the picture back to London . It has remained in the family by descent since then.
