Mid 19th century English Bristol London Royal Mail coaching oil by Charles Cooper Henderson (English, 1803-1877)

A mid 19th century oil on canvas of the Bristol London Royal Mail passing seated pipe smoker, in heathland setting, approaching town in the distance by Charles Cooper Henderson (English, 1803-1877). The coach wearing the correct Royal Mail livery, black with red door and lower panels, Post Office red wheels, and The Royal Coat of Arms on the door with the name of the town at the start and end of the coach's route “Bristol London”. Signed with discreet monogram to one of the trunks on the roof "CH". English, circa 1850.
