Kings Charles Cavalier Tricolor Spaniel enamel gold stick pin by William Essex (English, 1784-1869). Circa 1860 and after Queen Victoria's painting of Dash, her favourite Spaniel, by Sir Edwin Landseer "The Royal Collection" today holds a substantial number of enamels by William Essex. The enamel set into a rope design setting. Signed to the reverse and dated “W. ESSEX.186?”. English circa 1860.
