A very rare French circa 1900 vase / jardinière by Alfred Broussillon (French, 1859-1922) for Limoges maker Jean Pouyat (French, 1835-1912). Profusely decorated with roses, gilt feet and gilt elephant head handles. Signed on the side “A Broussillon”. French, circa 1900.


Broussillon, was most active in the early 1900s era, a master artist in several genres, and his portrait and rose porcelains are highly valued. The elephant work by Broussillon is rare.
