This style of Pomeranian is of the larger type fancied by Queen Victoria (1819-1901), she bred and exhibited Pomeranians. On holiday, she purchased four Pomeranians from Italy, the most famous being a little sable dog called Marco. Other Royal Pomeranians included Gina /Gena, Fluffy, Nino, Mino, Beppo, Gilda, Lulu and Turi. Queen Victoria housed up to 35 Pomeranians in the royal kennels. Gina /Gena, Fluffy, Nino were exhibited three Pomeranians at Crufts in 1891 and 1892. In 1897 Maud Earls contemporary Frances C. Fairman (English, 1836-1923 famously painted Turi.
