Watercolour of Poodle with cane by Charles Ferdinand de Condamy (1855 - 1913)

Watercolour of a seated brown Poodle in lion cut, with staghorn handle cane by the famous French canine artist Charles Ferdinand de Condamy (1855 - 1913). This is one from a series of Condamy's "Poodles with Canes". Possibly inspired by Mathieu Deroche (French, 1837-1918) circa 1885 photograph of the Prince of Wales’s Poodle.
