Skye Terrier Manner of Gourlay Steell (Scottish, 1819-1894)

Skye Terrier recumbent in wood dog bed, in the manner of Gourlay Steell. Watercolour on paper, titled and dated "Skye 1852". Scottish. This Skye bears a strong resmlence to Scotland’s famous Greyfriars Bobby. Provenance circa 1924 Mrs Jackson, 2 Hope Park Haddington, East Lothian EH41, Scotland.
