This was famously illustrated to the cover of Terhune’s 1920 book “Bruce” published Grosset & Dunlap, New York. Terhune was popular for his novels relating the adventures of his beloved collies and as a breeder of collies at his Sunnybank Kennels. The books were chiefly illustrated by Marguerite Kirmse. Signed bottom right “Marguerite Kirmse”. American, circa 1920.
