"Mallwyd Albert" was "Blue Belton", registered KCSB 796R and born on the 29th September 1910 to Mallwyd Markham and Mallwyd Violet at the famous Mallwyd Kennels of the English Setter breeder and fancier Mr Thomas Steadman of Marionitshire, Wales.
Champion Mallwyd Albert stud and show careers were somewhat restricted because of the First World War, but he had the distinction of siring 16 CC winners and of winning the CC himself at each show he attended, including two at Crufts, before being exported in 1917 the dog was sold to Thomas Percival Saulbrey in New Zealand.
