A rare preparatory drawing on ivorine by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin RBA (English, 1870-1935), of “Boss-eyed Peter” his beloved West Highland Terrier published 1934 by Eyre & Spottiswoode in Aldin’s “Just Among Friends”. Signed and dedicated bottom right “from Cecil Aldin to Adele Astaire”. The reverse bears interesting pencil note “71/3 wide deep etch note artists instruction”.
