(1802-1873) “A Peasant Women Bruges†From a sketch-bookâ€. Circa 1835 Landseer painted Louisa, Marchinoness of Abercorn (1812-1905) as a ‘cottage girl’ in similar attire. Peasant women were not an unfamiliar subject by Landseer there are several such drawings in The Royal Collection. English, circa 1830.
