Published April, 1925. In pencil, titled "The Three Musketeers" and signed bottom right "Marguerite Kirmse". The reverse bears gallery label for "Arthur Ackermann & Son, Bond Street, London". American 1925.
The image further appeared in "Dogs" by the artist, with an introduction by R. T Townsend published in 1930, by the Derrydale Press, illustration 40. Here Kirmse writes "Dry point study of three Irish terriers, always characteristically ready for fight or frolic".
