A “Marble Hill Gallery 72 Richmond Road Twickenham Middx” label to the reverse reads “C Ambler. The Two Friends, pencil and coloured mashes, heightened with white. Lived in Buckhurst Hill Esses , Exhibited two works at the Royal Academy between 1912-1914.” With stock number “P926ms”.
