A facsmile of the Misses M.F. & H.M. Loughrey’s famous Scottish Deerhound “Champion Tragic of Ross” after the highly respected English canine artist Miss Monica F Gray. Titled bottom right “Tragic of Ross” and signed bottom left “Monica Gray”. Tragic one of the most famous Scottish Deerhounds, his pedigree can be found in many of today’s lines. It has been said that Tragic left its mark across the entire strain of Scottish Deerhounds everywhere, with this name appearing on practically every deerhound pedigree. The Ross Kennels and Deerhound fanciers, Misses M.F. & H.M. Loughrey’s of Londonderry, were famous for their Scottish Deerhounds. This was clearly painted when Tragic was just a young dog and before becoming a champion. Bred by Miss G Esmonde, Tragic won 7 Challenge Certificates. Tragic’s pedigree is shown below.
